About Us

Hi!

We are a husband and wife team who have a love for trading cards and have been frustrated by the current options available for buying Pokémon cards. Through this site we are hoping to provide a cheap and simple option for those of us wanting to grow our collections without being taken advantage of (as well as building our own collections!).

We are currently only working on adding Pokémon ranges in these early stages but we plan to expand to other games further down the line if things go well.

Hi, I'm Matt!

Ever since I was about 8 or 9 years-old in the early 2000s, I have had a love for Pokémon and Yu-Gi-Oh (the tcg and the animes), but my tiny child brain could never understand how to ask for things, so my collection didn't get very far. At some point in my early teens I ended up selling all of my cards, which constantly hurts me to think about.

 

Throughout the years that followed I went in and out of hobbies and likes, with Pokémon dying down but always lingering in the back of my mind. Eventually, 2016 came around and Pokémon GO hit the scene. I was hyped. Pokémon had jumped back into my main interests and I was loving it, but I was still afraid of the cards, with no idea where to start after many years away from them. During the following years, my wife would occasionally gift me a booster pack here and there which would fill me with so much nostalgia.

It wasn't until 2024 that I decided to finally catalogue my current cards after coming across tcgcollector.com (which is an amazing site and you should go and use it and support the devs). During that process, something in my brain just clicked and I became obsessed with the idea of building my collection and living in the nostalgia. Fast forward a few months and here we are. Having learned a lot and noticing there is a lack of good options for buying singles in the UK, with my own collection of bulk growing that I was figuring out the best way to sell, I decided to create this site and have a go at offering something cheap and simple (and unfortunately very ugly) for those just wanting to build their collections, no matter how big or small, no matter what reason.
